Gathering Sheds in Utah

Posted by on Tuesday, 27 January, 2009

If you want to gather sheds in Utah now, you must first take an online ethics course. Once completed you can print a certificate which must be carried with you while gathering. You may only gather between Feb 1 and Apr 15, 2009 and you cannot remove antlers attached to skulls.

What will the DWR think of next? This will spread like a virus and will mutate as well.

Starting the New Year

Posted by on Wednesday, 7 January, 2009

I know it seems early to start thinking about applying for a coveted mule deer tag, but for some of us, thinking about mule deer is a year-round obsession. As always, Utah is first out of the chute. Typically, Utah drawing submittals must be entered by the end of January. This year, you get a little bit longer to study the proclamation and to think about your choices. The deadline has been moved to Feb 26.

Best wishes for 2009

We hope you had good hunts and great success in 2008. Now that it is 2009, dig up some dough, find some time, apply for mule deer hunts, and get out there and bag a trophy. As always, we look forward to hearing your stories and seeing your pictures.

Best wishes and May the Force be with You
